DURING HIS CAMPAIGN for Congress, a candidate received a call from one of his campaign managers. “Look, Jim,” he said. “You’ve got to go to Dallas and make a speech. The opposition is telling some lies about you over there.”
“I’d like to,” Jim said. “But I’ve got to go to Houston.”
“But, Jim,” his manager said, “they’re telling lies about you in Dallas.”
“Yeah,” Jim said. “But they’re telling the truth about me in Houston.”
