９月２６日投稿の添削結果を受け取りました。正しい英文を書くのは難しいことを実感しますがその内添削箇所ゼロとなるように努力したいと思います。

A sign on one of the stores in a fishing area read: “Fishing Tickle.”

“Does this mean, ‘Fishing makes you uncomfortable’? Certainly not. It must be a misprint for Fishing Tackle. If the proprietor doesn’t know about the misprint, he should,”  thought a passing angler.  He went into the store and told the proprietor about it.  The proprietor thanked him profusely, so the angler asked if he was the first one who had pointed out the problem. 

The proprietor replied, “Oh, no, we’ve had many customers come in to advise us of the error. And they all bought something while they were at it.”

The proprietor had been aware of the misprint for a while.  But because he had found that this misprint contributed to bringing in customers who otherwise would have just passed by, he kept the misprint as it was. 

Or, perhaps he was just a shrewd businessman who had predicted this effect and intentionally wrote the misprint from the outset.
